Here are some great websites that you might like to visit to pass the time. They're clean and you won't find anything offensive. They range from cowboy churches to various radio ministries that you can listen to online for free. You can even download some of the messages (or download past messages) for free (or for a small price) and burn them onto a CD while you travel between rodeos. I listen to them alot when I work late at the office and when I'm driving.

My witness: On October 29, 1982, I prayed to receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior.

I didn't come out of drugs. I didn't come out of fornication. I didn't come out of alcoholism. I didn't come out of corruption. I didn't come out of anything that was bad.

I came out of church.

I was a good kid growing up. I went to church and Sunday school every week. I went to Wednesday night church activities. I read my BIble every night and prayed regularly. But I didn't have Christ as the center of my life. I had the church there. I wasn't far off the mark, but I was far enough off that I was not saved. I was in that group that the Bible desribes as saying, "Lord, Lord..." but who never knew Jesus.

When I prayed I shifted my focus just a little-- just a tweak, really, but that has made all the difference in the world. I've had my ups and downs, but when I've kept a healthy relationship with Him I've almost always an inner peace in what I do and in what I decide. God's blessed me through my family, through my friends, through my churches, and directly from Himself.

I'm not perfect, and even since I started this rodeo photography there are things I wish I could go back and change. But I'm trying. And I will keep trying. And if you would like to live a Christ-centered life, then you can have it if you pray this prayer:

"Dear Jesus. I know that I am a sinner, and I confess my sins up to you. I believe that you died on the Cross to forgive my sins, and that you rose from the dead to give me victory over death, too. I reject my past and my sinful nature. Please come into my life and be my Lord and Savior. Amen."

If you prayed that prayer, or if you have any questions, please contact me anytime day or night at (918) 691-6853. Or contact any of the ministries that I have links to if you have any questions. If you read the Bible daily and pray daily, then you will have regular communication with God. This is not required to be saved, but it is required if you want to sense God's leading and working in your life.

It's like training a mule (or horse). You may start out pulling his head around...plow reining. But with repetition and practice it's not very long until you're using gentle neck-reining. And then with more time and more daily practice you can steer him with leg cues. Finally, with more time and daily practice you're making him turn and stop using only a subtle shift of your weight in the saddle. You're one with him.

When you train that horse every day, you are refining your communication with him (and vice versa). And when you're "one with the horse" you're in such fine communication that it seems all you must do is think the cue and the horse responds...such subtle communication!

It's the same way with God: daily Bible reading and prayer is how you communicate. That's how you learn to hear God and to speak to Him. And over time you will come to sense God's leading so well, that His direction almost seems to be a natural extension of your own thoughts. It's like being one with your horse.

If you don't work with your horse every day, it's not too long before he forgets what he's been learning. And you have to teach him all over again. Likewise, if we don't communicate with God every day it's not long before we forget what He's been teaching us and what He expects out of us. And then He usually has to teach us the same things all over again.

God bless and safe travels!
